Ludovic Lotfi Mohamed Zahed, durant l'adolescence en Algérie, a étudié l'exégèse coranique - tâfsir al-Qur'an - et les piliers de l'orthopraxie islamique - usûl al-Fiqh. Il est aujourd'hui maître de psychologie cognitive, diplômé de l’Ecole Normale Supérieur en sciences cognitives ; actuellement doctorant en anthropologie du fait religieux à l'EHESS sur le thème de l'islam et homosexualité. Il a été fondateur et porte-parole de l’association des homosexuel-le-s musulman-e-s de France – HM2F. Il a été fondateur de la première association des jeunes séropositifs de France – JHs+ ; il est également président fondateur de l’association des enfants du Sida – TDMES., fondateur et porte-parole de MPF (l'association des Musulman-es Progressistes de France), président fondateur d'une association de LGBT d'origine africaine et caribéenne en France, du collectif MTE contre la discrimination des mères musulmanes en foulard, membre du comité associatif de l'ANRS (Agence Française pour la Recherche sur le Sida et les hépathites) pour l'essai IPERGAY, représentant en cela HM2F, membre fondateur du réseau international INIMuslim etc...). Enfin, il a été consulté en tant qu'expert auprès de la cours de justice de Grande-Bretagne (en 2012) et du Sénat français (en 2013)
L. Zahed est né à Alger, puis il a vécu en Tunisie, en Suisse, quelques temps à Londres et New-York ; il a grandi en France à Paris. Il est l’auteur de plusieurs articles militant, au sujet de l’Islam et de l’homosexualité, publiés sur le site de HM2F. Il a écrit plusieurs livres traduits en plusieurs langues, notamment un livre sur Homosexualité et Islam intitulé : « Le Coran et la Chair » (un ouvrage entre autobiographie et essai) ; il est co-producteur du documentaire "Se rencontrer" (Rencontres LGBT et spiritualités en Israël & Palestine). Il a publié en 2011 un ouvrage à propos des enfants du Sida : « Révoltes extraordinaires : un enfant du Sida autour du monde » ; il a publié une étude à propos de la façon dont les enfants du sida sont pris en charge à travers 29 pays du monde : "Enfants infectés, affectés par le Sida autour du monde : étude comparative d'éxemplaires, débuts d'une gestion de leur pandémie ?" (1er décembre 2009) et producteur du documentaire associé à cette enquête et intitulé Génération Sida .
L.Zahed est un musulman
convaincu. Il a
effectué plusieurs petits et grands pèlerinages,
notamment à la Mecque. Il est
aujourd’hui un fervent défenseur du droit des
minorités sexuelles LGBTQI. Il
pense notamment que les musulman-e-s, en cet aube du vingt et
unième siècle, ne
peuvent plus ignorer la violence homophobe et déshumanisante
de certains
religieux extrémistes. Il a publié en cela plusieurs
livrets articles qui sont disponibles depuis le site internet du collectif citoyen des HM2F ; il a également été rédacteur en chef des Lettres Trimestrielles de HM2F
depuis janvier 2010 jusqu'en décembre 2012. Il apublié
plusieurs articles à propos de la double discrimination (cf.
revue de presse ci-dessous).
L.Zahed a été récompensé pour "courage moral" (2013, cliquez ici), et désigné comme l'un des trois "gay de l'année" en France (2012, cliquez ici). Il est croyant, pratiquant et convaincu qu’il est possible de construite une représentation inclusive de notre Islam, véritablement apaisée et libératrice, pour le bien de notre Humanité.

Azzah est d'origine française. Elle a grandi à Lacoste (sud de la France) et elle vit et travaille aujourd'hui entre Amsterdam et New-York. Elle s'occupe d'aider ses sœurs et frères musulman-es transsexuel-les qui vivent aux Pays-Bas (pays où elle est née avant d'y être adoptée). Il y a cinq ans, Azzah a subit une intervention chirurgicale de changement de sexe au OLVG Hôpital, à Amsterdam. Elle a été traitée par un chirurgien musulman, RB Karim, et son assistant d'origine iranienne. " J'ai été autorisée à porter le voile dans la salle d'opération. Après la chirurgie, le médecin Karim a placé un exemplaire du Coran dans la paume de ma main. J'ai délibérément choisi un chirurgien musulman. Je me sent plus à l'aise de confier mon corps et mes soins post-opératoires à des personnes dela même foi ". (En savoir plus sur son histoire ici).
Azzah est consultante auprès du Malcolm X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial Educational Center (NYC), HM2F et CALEM en ce qui concerne les transidentitaires, intersexes et le VIH/Sida. Azzah travaille aujourd'hui pour le Amsterdam Arkin emergency Psychiatric hospital comme conseillère auprès des jeunes (en particulier auprès des adolescents LGBT) : "I work in Amsterdam as psychiatric case manager for LGBTQI and religious minorities. At emergency closed ward for youth and adolescents. I work as case manager on a psychiatric therapeutical base for crisis and emergency on a psychiatric intensive care unit. I work in a team with one intercultural/migration specialist, one psychiatric hospital imam and my team of doctors and nursing staff. Furthermore I am member of the universal soefi order in Amsterdam, Sursesness, and New Lebanon. I studied medicines in Amsterdam and graduated at the VU, and my second study law was finished in the field of criminology and forensic psychiatry as well at the VU Amsterdam with two years at NYCU. Though within Mentrum I assist as specialist on the lgbtiq and intercultural and religious patients."

Ludovic
Lotfi Mohamed Zahed, during his adolescence in Algeria, studied Qur'an exegesis - Tafsir al-Qur'an - and the pillars of the Islamic orthopraxy - usul al-fiqh. HIV/AIDS in France –
JHs+, he is also president founder of the of AIDS Children World Tour organization - TDMES, founder and spokesman of MPF
(French Muslims for Prgressive Values), president founder of an
afro-caribbean French organization, founder member of the network MTE against discrimination towards Muslim mothers wearing scarf, member of the organizational comittee of the ANRS (French National Agency against HIV AIDES) for the trial IPERGAY, representing HM2F, founder member of the international network INIMuslim (etc...). He was consulted as an expert of his field by the UK Justice court (2012) and by the French Senate (2013).
L. Zahed was born in Algiers,
and he lived in Tunisia, Switzerland
and some time in London and New York. He grew
up in
Paris, France.
He is the author
of several
activist
articles about Islam and homosexuality,
published on the HM2F
website.
He wrote several books translated in different languages, amongst which
a book
on Homosexuality
and Islam:
"Qur'an and the flesh" ("Le Coran et la chair" is in French, soon available in English) ; he is also coproducer of the documentary "Se rencontrer" ("Meet each other", an LGBT and spiritual travel to Israël and Palestine).
And
another book is about to be published also about children living
with AIDS:
"Extraordinary revolts:
an AIDS child around the world." ; he published a survey study about AIDS children in 29 countries of the world entitled: "Children infected, affected by AIDS around the world: comparative study, an earkly managment of their pandemic?" (1st December 2009) and producer of the associated documentary called AIDS Generation ; enfin,; enventually, he is also member of the ANRS' (French research agency about AIDS) IPERGAY committee against HIV/AIDS pandemic, representing HM2F.
He is a practicing
Muslim. He made several pilgrimages, including at Mecca.
He is now a staunch defender
of the
right of LGBTQIA sexual
minorities
within Islam.
He
believes that
Muslims in
particular,
in this dawn
of the twenty-first century, can no
longer ignore
homophobic
violence and dehumanization of sexual
minorities from certain religious extremists. He published several booklets and articles available from the website of the citizen network HM2F; he was also editor in chief of the HM2F's Quarterly newsletters since 2010.
L. Zahed has been awarded for "moral courage" (in 2013, click here) and been on of the three French "gay of the year" (in 2012, click here). He is a believing,
practicing Muslim, convinced that it is possible
to built an inclusive
representation of our Islam,
liberating and truly appeased,
for the sake of our entire humanity.

Azzah-Stéphanie de Riquet de Caraman Bons-Hey
Azzah is originally from France. She grew up in
Lacoste (Southern France) and she now lives and works between Amsterdam and
New-York. She deals to help her transsexual Muslim sisters and brothers living
in the Netherlands. Five years ago, Azzah undergo sex change surgery in OLVG
Hospital, Amsterdam. SHe was handled by a Muslim surgeon, R.B. Karim, and an
assistant Iranian descent. "I am allowed to wear headscarves in the
operating room. After the surgery, doctors Karim pinned a Quran in the palm of my
hand. I deliberately chose a Muslim surgeon. It feels more comfortable
entrusting my body and post-operative care to people of faith". (Learn more about her story here).
