'Tawheed
Umrah to Mecca and Madinah;
Inclusive pilgrimages at the sources of Islam
Dans
l’espoir

l’islam contemporain : Dr. Amina Wadud -

Our lattest publication
as an international partner:
The English translation of the autobiography
"Le Coran et
la chair" (2012)
"The Koran and
the flesh" (2025) :
« The rebirth or
reform of Islam will not happen on its own, we have to engage. In my
opinion, homosexuality, no matter what anyone says, is not a choice;
and you'd have to be crazy to choose to be homosexual when you come
from the socio-cultural background I come from. Fortunately, here in
France, it's no longer an offence. I think it's the way some French
Muslims represent their religion, not Islam itself, that is the
problem. It's human beings in all their complexity, their knowledge, their freedom of self-determination, their
capacity for empathy, that makes us creators of possibilities,
God's successors on earth according to the teachings of the Koran. I
have come to understand that homosexuality as we live it today, or at
least as French law allows us to live it, does not run counter to the
principles of an enlightened Islam...
